OPAT,
the Optometric Assistant and Technician Program, was developed
to upgrade the professionalism and competency level of eye care
staff and to give successful students in the program meaningful
professional credentials.
Developed
by the Indiana University School of Optometry, OPAT offers students
three levels of achievement. The educational program is taught
by Indiana University professors and instructors associated
with schools and colleges of optometry, making the completion
of each level more meaningful to both staff and practitioners.
The program is offered nationwide so students can progress at
their own pace at a time convenient to their schedules.
Become
more valuable to your eyecare practitioner and enhance your
career path with OPAT. Each course is approved for ABO (American
Board of Opticianry) or NCLE (National Contact Lens Examiners)
credit.
